What is cervical cancer?
Cervical cancer and breast cancer are two major female cancers. Cervical cancer can be prevented easily through early medical checkup. After its development, it has a high mortality rate.
For this reason, women, though healthy, need to have cervical cancer screening tests once every year. In developed countries, with a high examination rate of cervical cancer, its incidence rate gradually lowers.
In developing and underdeveloped countries, cervical cancer screening is not effectively conducted so that it is one of main causes of female deaths.
Meaning of VIA
VIA stands for 'Visual Inspection with Acetic-acid'.
It is one of cervical cancer screening techniques, in which 3-5% acetic acid is applied to the cervix, and its changing pattern is analyzed in order to judge whether the cervix is abnormal. Compared to general cytology tests (e.g. Pap smear, TCT), VIA is simpler, faster, and less expensive.
Cytology tests and HPV tests need laboratory infrastructure and pathologists' microscopic examination. On the contrary, a VIA test is conducted by a specialist with the naked eye.
The biggest advantage of VIA is that it needs no infrastructure.

Telemedicine
Cerviray Al service provides telemedicine solution to cervical screening patients by Al and medical experts without having to come in contact.

VIA technique is faster, simpler, and less expensive than cytology tests. Cerviray AI is developed in the way of applying AI to VIA, securing objectivity of examination and connecting to the server that remotely reads results through telemedicine system.
