What is urinary incontinence?

It is defined as an involuntary loss of urine that represents a hygienic and social problem for a person. In women, it occurs twice as often as in men, especially in women who have had several natural births and are over 60 years of age. Urinary incontinence in women is a common medical problem. Although it is not a life-threatening problem, it still significantly affects the quality of life.

There are 4 types of urinary incontinence:

1. Stress incontinence is characterized as urine leakage during an increase in intra-abdominal pressure (when sneezing, coughing, or carrying a load), which consequently puts pressure on the bladder.

2. Imperative incontinence – the involuntary leakage of urine followed by an immediate urge to urinate.

3. Combined incontinence - a combination of stress and imperative.

4. Functional incontinence – inability to hold urine due to neuro-urological dysfunctions.

This problem can be treated in several ways: physio-therapeutically, medicinally, and surgically. Doctor Nikola Potparević's previous experience in treating stress incontinence with K-Laser Blue Derma has given excellent results and 100% performance.
